TORTUGA

A little more than a week left. I (think) I'm ready to go. It's a mixed bag of feelings, like always. Tearful goodbyes to one group of people and happy celebrations with another. It's an emotional roller coaster. I usually like roller coasters... just not this type. And chaaaaanging the subject.

In other news, I finally got my first tattoo. I have been meaning to get this done for over a year now. I feel like this specific point in my life is the perfect timing. After everything that has happened to me in the past year, I feel like I'm.... I hate to say "at a turning point" because that just sounds so lame. But I'm definitely at a point where I never thought I would be. So that deserves marking.

So I got a tattoo of a turtle on my foot. This tattoo represents a lot of things for me. It's my personality, my past experiences, and my future outlook rolled into one. I know that doesn't make sense... because, let's be honest, it's a TURTLE. Haha. But really, what do you expect when someone asks: What does your tattoo mean? It's personal. So deal with it.
